The Facility

"The little school with a big heart." - former Mendham Co-op parent

Located in the "little yellow house" on Orchard Street, the Co-op has three classrooms and two well-stocked art rooms that are bright and colorful and provide plenty of room for our classes.

The classrooms are clean and well organized with educational and fun toys within the children's reach to keep them engaged while they're learning and interacting with each other. Each classroom is organized into five learning areas: Language, Math, Social Studies, Science and Dramatic Play.

Our school's playground is entirely fenced in and safe for our students, with a soft layer of mulch beneath all equipment.  It has two play structures with slides, climbers, tunnels and bridges, a large sandbox, a "school bus" play structure, and plenty of space for running and playing. Children access the playground with children their own age either before or after their school day, weather permitting.

The Mendham Co-op school building feels more like a home than most schools, easing the transition from home to school, especially for our little ones. It is safe and secure and has all the things you'd expect in a school - and it is welcoming and comfortable.

A convenient feature of our location is the public playground directly adjacent to our parking lot. This is a very common after-school meeting
place for Co-op kids and parents, with shaded tables for picnic lunches and plenty of newly updated playground equipment.
